Heston Community School will be closed next week to help control increasing cases of coronavirus.

The school was closed yesterday, Friday 13 November, and will undergo a deep clean. The headteacher has worked closely with the Council’s Public Health Director to review cases and agree plans to ensure the safest possible environment for pupils to continue their education.
All parents have been told of the closure and will be kept updated by the school. The school has well planned arrangements for pupils to continue their learning from home during this time. It is expected to reopen on Monday 23 November.
Cllr Tom Bruce, Cabinet Member for Education, Children and Youth Services, said: "The headteacher and his team are doing a great job in managing a very challenging situation.
“This closure will give time for a full deep clean and help break the chain of infection. We understand the inconvenience this may cause for some parents, but it is the right decision. The safety of pupils and teachers must be our priority. Hounslow's Public Health team are working with school leaders to ensure the school reopens safely.”
