Councillor Tom Bruce, Cabinet Member for Education, Children and Youth Services has issued the following statement on the continuing work of schools during the coming National Lockdown.

“Hounslow Council believes that prioritising the wellbeing and long-term future of our children and young people is paramount. So, as schools remain open during this new lockdown, it is critical that children and young people continue to attend in order to maintain their wellbeing and education, and to support working parents and carers.

"There is to be a Parliamentary vote on Wednesday that may change current guidance. If changes happen the Council will issue an updated statement outlining the changes.”
