Cllr Katherine Dunne, Cabinet Member for Communities and Climate Emergency, has issued a statement in response to a body being found at Clements Court on Green Lane last night.  

“We are shocked and saddened to hear this tragic news today. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim and with the Clements Court community.

“A crime scene is in place and the police are carrying out a thorough investigation. They are asking for witnesses to the incident to please come forward with any information. The safety of our residents is our primary concern and we urge anyone with any information, no matter how small, to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

"Our housing officers are on site providing support to Clements Court residents and the Council is on standby to help anyone affected by this incident.

“Clements Court tenants should get in touch with the housing officers on site or their own housing officer if they have any concerns.”
