Ceremonies for marriages, civil partnerships, reaffirmations, and appointments to give notices about to restart.
Published: Friday, 10th July 2020
Ceremonies for marriages, civil partnerships, and reaffirmations will restart at Feltham Lodge on Saturday 11 July. Residents will also be able to give notice of their marriages and civil partnerships in pre-booked appointments from Monday 13th July.
To help ensure the safety of visitors to Feltham House, stringent social distancing measures have been implemented. Residents will only be able to enter the building if they have an appointment, and appointments are being staggered to reduce the number of people in the building.
Hounslow Council is also encouraging parents to book appointments for birth registrations if their baby was born in February, March or April. Staff are working through a large backlog of registrations created during lockdown when Feltham Lodge was closed to the public.
Councillor Pritam Grewal, Cabinet Member for Customer Services and Corporate Performance, said: "We're delighted to announce our Registration Service is now able to accommodate ceremonies back at Feltham Lodge. The team will also be working with local venues to support their introduction of ceremonies.
"Staff are also working hard on birth registrations, which were paused due to the lockdown restrictions. I thank you for your patience if you are one of the many parents who have been waiting to register the birth of your baby. Please keep an eye on the Council website for the latest instructions on when you need to register the birth or phone the office if you are unsure.
"Maintaining appropriate social distancing is essential so people will have confidence about their safety when they visit Feltham Lodge. That is why it's essential that you pre-book all appointments. You will not be admitted to the building without one."
For all bookings, notices and registrations please telephone Feltham House on 0208 583 2090 or email email@example.com
