Hounslow Council’s free Summer Fun Day is returning for a third year, taking place on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, from 12pm to 4pm at Old Isleworthians Sports Club in Isleworth.
Following the success of last year’s event, the third annual Best Start Summer Fun Day promises a vibrant afternoon filled with free, family-friendly activities bringing the community together and providing engaging outdoor entertainment for the whole family. There will also be support and activities tailored to those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. All activities and entry are free.
Families can look forward to a wide range of activities including:
- a bouncy castle
- baby sensory play
- a petting zoo
- music and dance sessions
- multi-sports
- rock wall climbing
- and much more
The event is inclusive, with a dedicated quiet zone and activity zone for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our SEND Local Offer Team, SENDIASS, and Best Start in Life teams will be on hand to offer guidance and support throughout the day. Plus, residents can also explore stalls with information on local services and support available to families across the borough.
Councillor Medeeha Asim, Cabinet Member for Children and Young Futures at Hounslow Council, said: “This Best Start Fun Day is a fantastic opportunity for families across Hounslow to enjoy a day out in the sun, discover new activities, and access valuable support from our Family Hubs. This year, you can also find out about our new Best Start in Life plan, which aims to join up services to ensure families get the help they need at the earliest opportunity. We warmly invite everyone to come along and take part in this free community event. Community days like these represent our wider commitment to help children and families thrive and grow in Hounslow.”

The Family Hubs are also hosting an information drop-in session on Wednesday, 22 July for families and services to come together, and share what support is available in Hounslow.
