Coronavirus testing options in Hounslow

Local tests for people WITH NO symptoms (Rapid LFD tests)

Rapid LATERAL FLOW TESTING is for ALL residents WITHOUT symptoms.

What are LFDs (Lateral flow devices)

Lateral flow devices (LFDs) are one of the new tools being used to help us to detect and fight COVID-19.

Lateral flow tests are designed to detect the presence or absence of coronavirus amongst people who are not experiencing symptoms (asymptomatic) and would not otherwise be coming forward for a test. The test cannot tell whether you have had the virus in the past, or if you have recently been exposed to the virus but are not yet infectious. This is a public health measure to help control the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Hounslow.

These tests are safe, free and do not require a laboratory to process the results.

Results are available in approximately 30 minutes.

Who can book?

Residents of Hounslow.

Please note: Rapid tests are now available for anyone over 12 years old (12-15 year olds need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian).

DO NOT book a lateral flow test if you are experiencing symptoms of coronavirus:

  • A high temperature
  • New, continuous cough
  • Loss of, or change to, your sense of taste or smell

If you are experiencing symptoms, then you should visit GOV.UK or call 119 to arrange a PCR test.
