Following requests from residents, Councillor Louki successfully applied to the Council's Street Improvement Fund, to make some improvements to the wooded copse area on Crawford Close, Isleworth.
The application focused on improved planting, maintenance of existing shrubs and trees, and protection of the area by the installation of wooden bollards or low level (knee high) fencing.
The proposed improvements are listed below:
- Planting of additional trees (all native species) to restore some of those lost, and improve biodiversity
- Plant a mix of seasonal woodland flower throughout the copse
- Remove dead wood, maintenance of existing trees and shrubs
- Installation of wooden bollards or low level "birdmouth" (knee high) fencing around the copse to protect the area and prevent vehicle access.
Once complete the area will continue to be maintained by Hounslow Highways.
