Let’s Go Lego! - Coming to Hounslow libraries this summer
Cultural Community Solutions on behalf of Hounslow Council are working in partnership with LEGO Education to bring LEGO to our libraries. We are introducing new, exciting LEGO resources such as StoryStarter, MoreToMaths, WeDo, and Machines and Mechanisms for ages 8+.
Using the building plates, bricks and special elements, children can create their story a scene at a time, bringing their ideas to life. Once completed, they then use the StoryVisualizer Software to write their story in a variety of visual styles and import the images of the scenes they have made.
LEGO® Education WeDo is a fantastic, simple-to-use tool that enables children to learn, construct and then bring their models to life.
WeDo helps teach how technology plays an active role in everyday life and is an ideal product for teaching across different subjects at primary levels such as Computing, Science, Social Studies, Language, Technology and Engineering.
LEGO® Education WeDo brings models and creations to life with LEGO® bricks and elements, plus a range of sensors and components that are easy for children to use.
The WeDo Construction Set features a selection of bricks and elements that children can use to create 12 different models. These include:
- Carefully selected, brightly coloured bricks.
- Gears, axles and pulleys to bring motion to models.
- Special elements, such as rope and elastic bands that increase the diversified range of models children can build.
- Two minifigures, Max and Mia.
Charges per session: £2.50 for library members / £4.00 non members
