Consultation on proposal to introduce parking charges at leisure sites - Ends 22 Dec 2017

The council is proposing the introduction of car parking charges at six leisure sites:

  • Hanworth Air Park Leisure Centre
  • Heston Pools and Fitness
  • Hounslow Heath
  • Isleworth Leisure Centre
  • Isleworth Library
  • Redlees Park

We are proposing this mainly because these car parks have seen increasing levels of parking by those not using the leisure facilities, leading to concerns there are fewer spaces available for those who wish to use them.

Income generated would also help the council maintain these parking facilities to prevent them from deteriorating.

The proposed charges are consistent with those at Boston Manor Park. On weekdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm, the charges would be:

Up to 1 hour 50p
Up to 2 hours £1
Up to 3 hours £2
Up to 4 hours £3

4 hours would be the maximum stay permitted.

We would welcome your comments on these proposals. Comments can be submitted until Friday 22nd December 2017 via this short online survey.

A report will be published in early 2018, including a summary of feedback received. Any proposed charges that are approved are expected to be phased in during 2018.

More details about these proposals can be found in this brochure. Should you have any questions that are not covered by the brochure, please address them to Gareth James using the contact details in the brochure.
