Emergency housing repairs
If you have an emergency 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, call the repair centre immediately on 020 8583 4000.
Do not submit an emergency repair online or by email – if it is an emergency we need to know immediately via telephone.
For all emergencies outside office hours telephone 020 8583 2222.
Here are the type of emergency repairs you can report:
- Burst pipes/uncontrollable leaks
- No power to the property
- Boarding up broken windows
- Insecure front door or window
- Loss of drinking water.
Heating and hot water repairs
T Brown Group is the appointed partnering contractor for Hounslow Housing, responsible for all your gas servicing, repairs and breakdowns, for both domestic and communal ‘district’ heating systems.
To report a heating or hot water repair telephone 0800 634 9434 8am to 8pm seven days a week and arrange for an engineer to visit you.

Tenants repair responsibilities – rechargeable works
As set out in your tenancy agreement you have a duty to take reasonable care of your home.
If you, a member of your household, or your visitors, cause damage to the property, which is then repaired by Hounslow Council, you may be liable to pay the costs of these works, plus an administration fee and VAT.
Where possible we will tell you if the repair is ‘rechargeable’ when you first report it to us and give an estimated cost, which you will have to pay.
If the repair is required due to action by you, a member of your household or your visitors, and you do not tell us, but we find this out when the workman attends, you will still be charged for these works.
