Passenger transport services

The London Borough of Hounslow’s transport team transfer Special Educational Needs children to and from school and adults and the elderly to day centres.

They have a team of dedicated staff who primarily live in the borough and are responsible for ensuring their passengers are safely transported to their destination in council minibuses, many of which are adapted to carry wheelchair clients. Staff receive regular training to ensure the needs of their passengers are met.

Here’s what some of the other drivers and attendants say about why they enjoy their job so much…

  • ”It’s satisfying to help young people in the borough”
  • “Enjoy the everyday rewards of helping children and adults with special needs and getting a warm feeling of reward”

The transport team often recruit attendants and part-time drivers who possess either a D1 or D (PSV) category on their driving licence on an on-going basis.  If you think you have what it takes to ensure our passengers are safely transported and are interested in a driver role you can contact the team for further information and an application pack by using the details below.
