From Monday 15 February 2021, prices for a number of our parking services is changing. The new changes have been designed to reduce the CO2 emissions in the borough, in line with the Council’s Climate Emergency Action Plan.
We've also introduced NEW business permits in the borough to allow greater parking flexibility for everyone.
Pay by Phone and pay and display
To encourage the use of zero and low emissions vehicles, we're introducing parking charges based on the CO2 emissions of your vehicle.

Resident, temporary and visitor permits prices
There will be a 5% increase for resident, temporary and visitor permits and administration fees. This is the first time prices have increased since 2016/17. These changes reflect a rise in inflation as well as a need to manage demand on kerbside parking space.
The diesel surcharge for resident permits is also increasing to further encourage motorists away from using diesel vehicles, whose emissions can have a significant impact on health.
