If your child is born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014 your child will start school in September 2018.
Hounslow residents who applied online will receive an email during the evening of Monday, 16 April 2018 advising of the outcome of their application.
Applicants who have been offered their first preference school, will receive online notification only.
If you have not been offered your first preference school, you will also be sent a letter by first class post on 16 April giving you more information about the process and what to do next.
Please wait until you have received the email before logging onto the eAdmissions website. The availability of results for viewing will be staggered to assist demand, so precise timings cannot be guaranteed.
Accepting your offer
You will need to accept or not accept your offer by 30 April 2018 by logging into your eAdmissions account and selecting 'view outcome and respond.' After this date, the online portal will close and you will not be able to accept your offer online.
You will also need to send a copy (not original) of your child's birth certificate. If the birth certificate is not available, we will accept a copy of your child's passport. Copies can be sent by one of the following ways;
- Logging into your eAdmissions account, selecting view outcome and respond and attaching the document.
- Emailing a copy to the School Admissions Team
- Sending a copy to School Admissions Team, Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, TW3 4DN
Your right to appeal
If we have not been able to offer your child a place at one of the preferred schools, you have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel.
You can only lodge an appeal if you have;
- received notification that we have not been able to offer you the school of your preference
- listed the school on your application form
Appeal forms and more information about appeals can be found of on our School Appeals page.
The closing date for primary appeals is 17 May 2018.
On-time applications have now closed
Applications can still be submitted but will be considered as late. Late applications will be processed after the first allocation of places to on-time applicants on 16 April 2018.
Please read our 'Starting School in September 2018' brochure before making your application. The brochure gives you full information on the application process. Some schools (such as faith schools) require the completion of the school's Supplementary Information Form (SIF) in addition to Hounslow's Common Application Form (on-line application). Further information can be found on the Primary School Supplementary Information form page. If you do not live in the London Borough of Hounslow, you will need to apply through your own council.
