Space Waye is Hounslow's re-use and recycling centre for the disposal of the borough's public and trade waste.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday 8am until 3pm (last entry for trade is 2.45pm)

These times are only for:

  • customers disposing of business derived waste
  • residents using van or trailer to dispose of household waste
  • residents in cars disposing of building, DIY or other chargeable waste

Trade users must pass through gate 3 and move to the weigh-bridge for weighing the waste.

Your waste will be weighed and charged per tonne for mixed waste.

Hazardous waste

Please follow our advice for hazardous waste such as asbestos.

Vans carrying household waste

Only residents of the borough who have their Council Tax slip will be able to tip waste using a van.

Note: This service is only offered once per year. One free tip is offered to Hounslow residents per calendar year using a van.

Householders from outside the borough using a van, must use their own local recycling facilities.

You must bring identification

Either photographic ID in the form of a:

  • passport
  • driving licence matching the name on your Council Tax bill

Recycle and save money

We recommend that you organise and recycle as much of the material as you can to save money.

A clean load of a single recyclable material such as:

  • garden waste
  • cardboard
  • timber (raw wood only)
  • scrap metal

will be charged at a lower rate per tonne.
