How to access coronavirus testing in Hounslow
Have coronavirus symptoms?
If you have symptoms of coronavirus (fever, new cough, loss or change in taste/smell), it is important that you get tested. You and your household should also self-isolate and only leave the house to go and get tested. When leaving the house to get tested, you should wear a face covering, and drive or walk to the site and must not use public transport/taxi.
You can book an appointment at the testing site or order a home test by visiting www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119.
DO NOT have coronavirus symptoms?
If you do not have coronavirus symptoms, and you are over 18 years old
If you have any issues or queries, please contact the Public Health team at publichealth@hounslow.gov.uk.
If you have been instructed by the Council or Hospital to get a test, or you are a keyworker, then it is also important that you access testing.
Booking information for people with symptoms
There are a variety of testing options available to Hounslow residents.
You can order a home test to be completed from your home or you can book a test at the Mobile Testing Unit which is in Hounslow every 3 days. There are also daily testing bookings available at Padstow Walk in Feltham, Brabazon Road in Heston, or Regional testing at Heathrow and Twickenham. Please do not attend any testing site without a booking.
If there are capacity issues and you are struggling to access a test, or if your results are delayed, please contact 119, and continue to isolate in the meantime. This is important to reduce the spread of infection.
If you are isolating at home with symptoms or a positive test, there is support available on how to manage symptoms.
You should not utilise NHS tests if you have returned from a high-risk country and do not display any symptoms, nor should you use NHS tests in order to travel abroad. You must pay for private tests for this purpose.
