Why are we doing this?
Following complaints from residents this year, it was decided that a late evening enforcement team would be set up to monitor offences in the borough.
The evening enforcement team started on Monday 12 February 2018, operating from 7pm until 1am every day for seven days a week
The team carry out enforcements on a number of contraventions including yellow lines, footway parking, resident parking bays and other designated parking spaces.
Three teams of two Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs) operate Monday – Friday and two teams of two officers on Saturday and Sunday to ensure that if someone does not park correctly, they will be liable for a Penalty Charge Notice (parking ticket).
The following statistics show how the team has performed in issuing PCNs, since being set up.
The table below shows the top 10 types of contraventions that have been identified and enforced by the teams.
