One Hounslow - Remembrance 2020

Post a Poppy this Remembrance Day

None of us in Hounslow will be able to mark Remembrance Day in the usual way this year, so in order to show our respect together, we are encouraging people to commemorate Remembrance Day by creating poppy-themed artwork, photographs, cakes or other artefacts.

Due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, Remembrance Day services will not go ahead in the traditional way this year, so we are encouraging people to commemorate in new and creative ways.

As always Remembrance is a time of reflection and this year we can mark it by getting involved in online commemorations, personal reflections or activities at home.

We want people to send in photographs of their works, and we will share those on our social media channels as a Remembrance display online.

To send us your stories, pictures and memories, please do so via our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts.

The Royal British Legion has made a downloadable Poppy poster available for those who wish to display those in their homes.

Until 1 November, the Royal British Legion also have a Poppy In The Post campaign available online.
