Films on the Green
Following the success of 2022’s Summer of Culture’s Films on the Green programme, we were delighted to bring even more outdoor film screenings to the borough!
Families, friends and neighbours met up to enjoy a range of blockbusters while enjoying the lovely parks and open spaces in the borough.
Venues were located across the whole borough including Hounslow Heath, Bear Road Recreation Ground, the Bridgelink Centre, Avenue Park, Bedfont Lakes, Strand on the Green, Heston Green and Glebelands. There was something for all the family, with a choice of films featuring Moana,Trolls, Mamma Mia, The Greatest Showman, The Parent Trap, Sing, The Lion King and Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical.
Moana
Saturday 1st July, 6pm: Bear Road Recreation Ground.
When a terrible curse reaches Moana’s island, she sets out to seek the Demigod who incurred it, to set things right.
Mamma Mia
Sunday 2nd July, 5.30pm: Hounslow Heath
The story of a bride-to-be trying to find her real father told using hit songs by the popular 1970s ground-breaking pop group ABBA.
Trolls
Saturday 8th July, 6pm: Bridgelink Centre, Ivybridge Estate
After Troll Village is invaded, two mismatched friends must work together in perfect harmony to save their friends.
The Greatest Showman (sing-a-long)
Sunday 9th July, 5.30pm: Avenue Park
A bold and original musical that celebrates the birth of show business and the sense of wonder we feel when dreams come to life.
The Lion King (animated)
Sunday 27th August, 6pm: Bedfont Lakes
Tricked into thinking he killed his father, a guilt ridden lion cub flees into exile and abandons his identity as the future King.
The Parent Trap
Saturday 2nd September, 5.30pm: Strand on the Green
