About

Watermans is West London’s arts centre. Our mission is to bring communities together through cultural practice and we exist to enrich lives through the arts and creativity. As an independent charity, we believe the arts are for everyone and that is at the heart of everything we do.

We present a thriving year-round programme of cinema, fringe theatre, exhibitions, and workshops in our stunning riverside location in Brentford, opposite Kew Gardens. We are an independent charity with a wide outreach programme across Hounslow and beyond too, reaching tens of thousands of people who would otherwise enjoy little or no arts provision, and work with them to build community through the arts.

Our Brentford venue houses an independent cinema, 250-seat theatre, contemporary art gallery, and creative spaces for the community. In our cinema, find the latest movies, as well as festivals and talks. In our theatre, discover children’s theatre, cabaret, dance, fringe theatre, and digital performance. And in our gallery, a year-round programme of free exhibitions focusing on digital arts.

Our large riverside cafe and restaurant – including a gorgeous outdoor riverside terrace – is the perfect place to chill out before or after a show. The food is freshly-prepared Indian, with a range of Indian bar snacks and a fabulous-value express lunch, and a children’s menu available.

Parking is free for 30 minutes so you can drop off and pick up, or pop in to collect tickets – please ensure you enter your car registration number and display a ticket. Thereafter, a charge of £1.50 for up to an hour will apply (up to a maximum of £8).

There are spaces reserved for disabled visitors on the upper level, but a BLUE BADGE must be displayed if you use one and you must register your number plate at our Box Office to validate your free parking. On occasions when the venue is full parking can become congested so please leave a little extra time when attending these events.

Additional parking is available in the multi-story car park 300 metres to the west of Watermans behind the Premier Inn. Visiting companies and artists should ask our Customer Relations Team for a parking permit for the duration of your stay at Watermans. There is secure cycle parking on the terrace outside the Box Office.
