Thriving Communities Fund
The Thriving Communities Fund (TCF) supports not‑for‑profit organisations and resident groups to:
- improve the lives of Hounslow residents
- help make the borough more equal, greener, safer and vibrant
The fund provides grants to charities, voluntary and community groups, and places of worship. Its goal is to encourage social action and strengthen communities in line with our Thriving Communities Strategy.
Types of grant
There are three types of grant available through the TCF:
Small grant
Small grants support local, small scale but impactful community projects which benefit Hounslow residents by:
- improving physical and mental wellbeing
- addressing social isolation and loneliness
- building social connection and community cohesion
The grant can also support testing new ideas, running pilot projects or helping your organisation become more sustainable.
There are three rounds of applications for small grants:
- Round 1 - 26 May 2026 to 29 June 2026
- Round 2 - 6 July 2026 to 14 September 2026
- Round 3 - 28 September 2026 to 18 January 2027

Sustainability Grant
Replacing the Revenue Grant, this grant invests in organisations rather than projects, combining unrestricted funding with tailored support to help local VCSE organisations thrive.
Applications are open from 21 August to 30 September 2026.

Capital grant
Capital grants invest in local capital projects that create a lasting benefit for local communities.
We aim to support initiatives that help communities adapt to and benefit from new development by developing and strengthening community infrastructure.
