Abandoned vehicles

An abandoned vehicle is generally a vehicle that has come to the end of its life, has no owner and has therefore been disowned.

Abandoned vehicles have increased rapidly in recent years, one major factor being the drop in scrap metal prices.

When reporting a vehicle, please provide as much information as possible including:

  • vehicle registration number

  • make, model, colour

  • road tax disc expiry date

  • time at present location

  • condition of the vehicle

We aim to

  • visit a vehicle reported as abandoned within 24 hours of the report

  • remove 90% of all confirmed vehicles reported abandoned within three working days

Report an abandoned vehicle now: email streetcare@hounslow.gov.uk
