The London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games will provide Londoners, and the rest of the UK, with a once in a lifetime community development and regeneration opportunity. As well as being the best sporting, educational and cultural show ever.
The West London 2012 Partnership (WL2012P) has been working with London 2012 (the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG) and the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA)), the London Development Agency (LDA) and the Greater London Authority (GLA) since 2005 to support the Games.
In particular, west London intends to support the games organisations in realising their legacy objectives around regeneration, skills and employment and increasing participation in sport and physical activity.
West London believes that the games provide a uniquely energising opportunity to develop a coherent strategy which complements and develops further the economic, cultural and community objectives of west London in a way that touches the lives of all those that live, work and play in west London.
