Hounslow Council

Standards Committee

The Standards Committee is responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of the council's code of conduct amongst local councillors and others involved in decision-making by the local authority.

The committee is responsible for considering complaints if a councillor may have breached the code of conduct.

What this means to you

If you want to complain about the conduct of a councillor you must submit your complaint to:

Chair of the Standards Committee
c/o The Borough Solicitor

Civic Centre
Lampton Road
Hounslow
TW3 4DN

The committee can only deal with complaints about the behaviour of a councillor.

Please note: It will not deal with complaints about things that are not covered by the members’ Code of Conduct.

If you make a complaint to the Standards Committee it must be about why you think a councillor has not followed the Code of Conduct. Please note that anonymous complaints are normally considered.

For complaints on other matters, please visit our complaint web pages.
