Hounslow Council

Say no to spitting

This consultation is now closed - thank you for your feedback.

Hounslow Council backed a motion on 30 April 2013 to ban spitting in public places in the borough.

However, to do this, the council needs to introduce a by-law which will need government approval.

As part of this process, we must demonstrate there is widespread public support among local residents in Hounslow for the by-law against spitting, which is why we have created a petition.

From September to December 2013 we asked Hounslow residents if they would like to see the council introduce a ban on public spitting (which could result in a fine if caught).

Residents could either sign the online petition below, or a paper copy at the civic centre in Lampton Road in Hounslow or in any of the borough libraries.
