The school run is now a costly exercise. Research by the internet bank Egg estimated that completing the school run costs UK families a staggering £1.66bn pounds a year.
This is £1.66bn pounds that’s not going on food, heating bills and leisure, and is contributing to greater levels of traffic and less healthy children.
