The borough’s parks and open spaces together represent the highest percentage of green areas of all London boroughs.
John Laing Integrated Services on behalf of the council manage the parks and maintain many of the facilities provided, including the play areas, sports facilities, trees, grass and flower beds.
Together, these facilities provide a pleasant environment and leafy ambience to our borough.
Parks are divided into key and non-key parks. Key parks will be cut each and every week and other parks every two weeks (unless the weather is so bad that we can’t use the grass cutting equipment).
Initially the grass will be cut but left for up to three days so that it can be collected and bailed for hay.
