There are three main areas of activity.
Residential services: Dealing with pests in residents’ own homes and gardens
Enforcement services: Dealing with pests reported at premises other than your own
Commercial services: Pest control and pest protection services available to businesses within the London Borough of Hounslow
Services are provided to residents to deal with certain household pests in their homes and gardens. These services are all charged for although reduced prices may apply for certain services if the householder is receiving a qualifying benefit. Payment will be accepted on or before the first visit and may be made by cash, cheque, or credit or debit card.
Do reduced prices apply?
Rats, fleas, bedbugs, cockroaches, Pharaoh ants
Concessionary prices are available if the householder is in receipt of a qualifying benefit. See the information below on claiming reduced price services
Mice, squirrels, wasps, garden ants
There are no concessionary rates available for services to control these pests. Further information on charges can be downloaded from this page
Claiming reduced price services
Services to control fleas, bedbugs, cockroaches, and Pharaoh ants can be provided at a reduced rate (equivalent to a discount of about 20%), where the householder receives one or more qualifying benefits at the time of service delivery. Please note that the householder is generally taken to mean the person registered for council tax at the property.
Services to control rats can be provided free of charge where the householder receives one or more of the qualifying benefits listed below or Disability Living Allowance.

Young residents who do not qualify for means testing are able to access concessionary rates if one of their parents or guardians are in receipt of means-tested benefits.
Local community groups with an annual turnover less than £15k may also be offered concession rates.
Limit on free pest control services
Any household receiving a free rat treatment (due to receiving one of the qualifying benefits above), will only be able to claim one free rat treatment in any twelve-month period. If your pest problem recurs, within this period then a charge of 80% of the full rate applicable at the time will be required. You can reduce the risks of pest re-infestation following treatment by following all the advice given by our pest control officers and that contained in any leaflets given to you during treatment.
