Hanworth Road in Hounslow will be closed from Wednesday 12 September for a period of about four weeks. The closure is necessary for National Grid to complete essential upgrade works to the gas main in the road.
The road will be closed between Bellview Court and Derby Road, although through traffic will be diverted via Bell Road, Grove Road, Staines Road, Wellington Road South and the same in reverse.
London Buses have been consulted and have arranged the necessary bus diversions for routes 110, 111 and H28.
Advance notice signs have been up for the last week to advise motorists of the closure. Delays are expected in and around the area as a result of the displaced traffic.

Bus route diversions
Routes 110 and 111 towards West Middlesex Hospital and Heathrow will turn left from Hanworth Road into Wellington Road South then right into Staines Road and will then run via Grove Road past the back of the Treaty Centre before rejoining their normal routes at the junction of Grove Road and Hanworth Road.
Routes 110 and 111 towards Twickenham and Kingston will leave their normal routes at the junction of Hanworth Road and Grove Road at the back of the Treaty Centre and will run via Grove Road and Staines Road then left into Wellington Road South before rejoining their normal routes at the junction of Wellington Road South and Hanworth Road.
Route H28 towards Osterley Tesco will turn left into Staines Road at the junction of Wellington Road North and Staines Road and will run via Grove Road past the back of the Treaty Centre to rejoin its normal route through to Kingsley Road and onwards to Osterley.
Route H28 towards Bulls Bridge Tesco will leave its normal route at the junction of Hanworth Road and Grove Road at the back of the Treaty Centre and will run via Grove Road and Staines Road, then right into Wellington Road North and onwards via its normal route to Bulls Bridge.
No bus serves will run on Hanworth Road between the Wellington Road South and Bell Road junctions. Wellington Road South will be served by routes 110 and 111.
