The Olympics have come to Hounslow in the shape of a new raised flowerbed depicting the world famous Olympic Rings.
From today, the new carpet bedding can be seen by visitors to the Civic Centre, with the flowers set to look their best for the duration of the London 2012 Games.
The London Borough of Hounslow was the first local authority in the capital to get permission to use the logo in its summer plant bedding, and Olympic-themed flower arrangements will soon be appearing in parks across the borough.

The installation of the Olympic ring flowers marks the first time in 20 years that Hounslow Council has undertaken carpet bedding in its parks to commemorate the games coming to London.
Cllr Ruth Cadbury, Hounslow’s cabinet member for the 2012 Olympics said: "I was delighted when Hounslow become the first borough in London to get permission to use the world famous Olympic ring symbols, and it’s wonderful to now see the flowers in place.
"The Olympic Movement is rightly very protective of their symbol, and we have worked hard with both the LOCOG team and the IOC to ensure Hounslow can get into the Olympic spirit, not just at the Civic Centre but across the borough.
"Like all London boroughs, we are expecting a huge number of visitors over London 2012 and we want to show people exactly what the borough has to offer.
"We’re all excited about the Olympic and Paralympic Games coming to our city, and want everyone in the London Borough of Hounslow to enjoy this landmark occasion and get involved as much as possible.
"Don’t forget that you can find out about all the exciting events going on in the borough this summer by logging onto our Summer of Celebration Facebook pages: www.facebook.com/hounslowcouncil."
Hounslow Council received confirmation that it could use the official logo for a floral celebration of the Games from the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in December 2011.
