If you own or live in a private sector property in Hounslow, and the property need repairing to bring it up to a reasonable standard, you may be eligible for a grant from us. The council offers grants for:
Renovation or home repairs
Repairs to property for older people
Adaptations for disabled people
Energy efficiency measures
Who is eligible for grants?
Apart from adaptations for disabled people, all grants are provided on a discretionary basis. The eligibility conditions for renovation and home repairs are based on the regulatory reform order 2002. There are conditions attached to these grants, and there are limits to the amount of grant that can be awarded.
We will give you general advice on the type of grant you may eligible for. You will need to complete a preliminary questionnaire to have your financial circumstances assessed. We will also tell you whether you will need to financially contribute towards the work.
