In partnership with local people we aim to provide high quality services that meet unique and individual needs. We are doing this by involving users and carers in the planning and delivery of services.
There is a duty upon local authorities to consult users and carers on the services they receive. In Hounslow, there is also deep commitment as we accept that the best knowledge comes from people who use our services.
In some cases we will organise your involvement, in other cases we commission the voluntary sector to support us in this work.
We have developed various groups and methods to ensure that the views of people that use our service have the chance not only to be heard, but lead to real sustainable change.
There is no single method to involving users and carers, because different groups have different needs and require different support.
The Hounslow Local Involvement Network (LINk) gives local people and organisations the opportunity to influence health and social care services. For more information, use the link on the right.
If you would like to know more about the opportunities to be involved in local services please email involvement@hounslow.gov.uk or call 020 8583 5704.
