We are working in partnership with Cycle Experience to bring you, Bikability - free cycle training for children at schools.
The level 2 training, on the road, aims to increase the use of safer cycling skills and road safety knowledge. Cyclists must use a roadworthy bicycle and wear their own helmet for the course.
Children in year 6 and 7 will be offered free level 2 training with Cycle Experience instructors during school time.
Session 1 will be about checking bicycles for roadworthiness and safety to assess the cyclists riding ability.
Further sessions will be on the road, gaining the skills needed for coping with traffic, you must pass the course or be offered extra training before you receive the certificate.
Are you ready for on-road training?
Can you cycle confidently on your own, able to manoeuvre without wobbling and have some understanding of the roads? If you’ve answered yes, contact us for more information.
Is your bike roadworthy?
Why not check the brakes, tyres, gears, fit a red reflector on the back, make sure your bike is the right size for you and always use a cycle helmet.
Where can you buy a cycle helmet?
Most cycle shops will stock a range at various prices. Please check it has a European kite mark and fits you comfortably.
Moore Bros on St John’s Rd in Isleworth are offering a discount on cycle helmets, if you’re doing a UPP (Urban Pedal Pro) course.
