A neighbour is driving across the grass verge/footpath into their property to park their car, what can be done about this?
It is illegal to drive over grass verges or footpaths unless a crossover, approved and installed by Hounslow Council is in place. Application forms for installation of a crossover are available by writing to:

In the above circumstances report full details to the Community Environment Team, including location, any times when this activity is regularly occurring and the vehicle details. A Community Environment Officer will investigate the matter and if proven will arrange for the person to be advised that such activity should cease until a crossover is installed and that they could be liable for the cost of any re-instatement of damaged areas.
To who do I report builders materials e.g. sand, bricks etc, placed on the grass verge causing damage or obstruction?
It is illegal to place such materials, even on a temporary basis, whereby damage could be caused to grass verges. Contact the Community Environment Team with full details of the location. A Community Environment Officer will investigate and ensure these materials are removed, or issue a Final Warning Notice under Section 137 Highways Act 1980 advising that prosecution will be pursued if the materials are not removed.

The Borough operates a weed spraying programme at certain times throughout the year. Once weeds have been sprayed and allowed to die off then the site will be revisited so that they can be removed if necessary.
