You may receive a parking ticket (known as a PCN or penalty charge notice) fixed to your vehicle or handed to you by a parking attendant when your vehicle is considered to be parked in contravention of the parking restrictions in place.
The parking ticket contains important information regarding the reason it has been issued along with details on how to pay or appeal it.
In addition, specific locations within Hounslow are monitored using CCTV. If a parking contravention is observed by one of our qualified monitoring staff at these locations, we will send a PCN in the post to the vehicle owner.
Bus lane contraventions
We also enforce bus lane restrictions at a number of locations throughout the borough. This is to ensure that bus lanes remain free-flowing and limited to permitted vehicles during hours when public transport should take a priority.
Bus lanes are monitored using CCTV. If an unauthorised vehicle is seen in a bus lane without a valid reason then this will be recorded as a contravention and we will send a PCN by post to the vehicle's registered keeper (as supplied by the DVLA) within approximately 14 days from the date of the alleged contravention.
In all cases it is the owner and not the driver of the vehicle who is liable to pay the PCN.

You can also request a copy of the CCTV footage or arrange to view the evidence at the Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, TW3 4DN.
Please include your PCN number, contact details and your preferred date and time to attend the Civic Centre on your request.
Viewing hours are Monday to Friday: 9am to 4.15pm (excluding bank and public holidays).
We will respond advising whether your requested appointment time is available and provide further details of the viewing process. There is no charge for viewing the footage.
Please note that a request to view CCTV footage does not stop the progression of the PCN.
