A parking permit will let you park in any parking spaces which are reserved for permit holders.
You cannot park in permit holders spaces unless you also have a valid permit for the area.
Permits can be applied for by post or in person.
If applying in person, please bring the completed application form and documents to the cash office on the ground floor of the Civic Centre.
Please note
Business, medical and carer permit applications cannot be made in person.
Some housing developments do not qualify for resident permits within the borough. Before renting or buying a home check you qualify by contacting us.
Applying by post
If applying by post, please include photocopies only of your supporting documentation along with payment and send to:

Payment
You can pay by cash, cheque, postal order or credit card. Cheques should be made payable to London Borough of Hounslow. Do not send cash through the post.
How to renew a permit
Whilst every effort is made to send renewal notices, it remains the responsibility of the owner of the vehicle to ensure permits are renewed in good time. Please allow at least 10 days for postal applications.
All permit applications must be supported by the relevant documentation.
An administration charge of £10 will be made for each permit issued as a replacement/change of vehicle.
Change of vehicle
If you have changed your vehicle, you must not alter your existing permit
You must telephone us immediately to confirm details of the change of vehicle
Your call will be logged and you will be given a reference number
Once your call is logged you must display a photocopy of your current permit in the windscreen of the new vehicle
You must return the original current permit, together with proof of ownership/use of the new vehicle and proof of residency to us
Alternatively you may obtain your new permit in person at the Cash Office, Ground Floor, Civic Centre: Monday to Friday 9am – 4.30pm
Failure to inform us of your change of vehicle may result in the issue of parking tickets (PCNs).
Courtesy cars
If your vehicle is off the road because of an accident or major repair and you have been provided with a courtesy car, you must remove the valid permit from your own vehicle and must clearly display it in the windscreen of your courtesy car.
You must telephone us immediately confirming details of the your current permit and the registration details of the courtesy car in which it will be displayed
Your call will be logged and you will be given a reference number
If you do not let us know your current permit is displayed in a different vehicle you will receive parking tickets (PCNs).
Traffic Management Act
If your parking permit makes reference to the Road Traffic Act 1991 this has been replaced by the Traffic Management Act 2004. You can find more information on the new legislation at: www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roads/tpm/tmaportal/
