3. Reduce the amount of graffiti and increase the number of graffiti crews on our streets
We want everyone to be proud of where they live, and feel safe to walk their streets.
To help make this happen, we have invested an extra £280,000 to cut the amount of graffiti across the borough in half.
Since January 2009 we have been running the most intensive clean up the borough has ever seen, focussing on key areas such as shopping parades, parks and alleyways.
The number of graffiti patrols doubled to help clear new graffiti quickly, before it attracts more.
So far, this has seen the amount of streets blighted by graffiti fall from 17% to 8% thanks to more people than ever before reporting it so we can remove it.
