Museums in Hounslow provide a wealth of historical and contemporary knowledge to residents and visitors alike in a variety of interest areas.
  • Gunnersbury Park Museum is the local history museum for the London Boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow.
  • Hogarth's House in Chiswick, built around 1700, was the country home of the great painter, engraver and satirist William Hogarth (1697 - 1764) from 1749 until his death.
  • Kew Bridge Steam Museum is an outstanding collection of water pumping engines that include working steam, diesel and water powered machines, plus a waterworks railway and "Water for Life" Gallery.

    Opening hours Tuesday-Sunday, 11:00-17:00. Closed Mondays, except Bank Holidays, Good Friday and between December 23 and 26 2006.

    Weekdays: Adults £4.25; Concessions £3.25. Weekends (Steam Hall engines only) Adult £6.50; Concessions £5.50.  Cornish Experience Weekends Adults £7.50; Concessions £6.50.  Accompanied children under 16 FREE.  Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The Musical Museum can be found opposite Waterman's Park in in Brentford
