The Learn & Earn programme is a structured and comprehensive apprenticeship programme of paid employment and training for young people. It is intended to help employers develop these individuals with employment and skills for the future.
The Learn & Earn team are part of the Hounslow Education Partnership (HEBP), which comes under the children’s services and lifelong learning department at the London Borough of Hounslow.
Apprenticeship training programmes are provided through high quality local training providers.
Apprentices
The Learn & Earn team will take care of the whole recruitment process, dealing with all the administration, leaving you to focus on your own business or service needs.
The Learn & Earn team will ensure that suitable applicants are found, so that you employ an apprentice who meets your needs.
The Learn & Earn team will always be available to offer advice to ensure that the young person performs to a high standard.
The apprenticeship scheme meets recognised national standards.
Both apprenticeships and advanced apprenticeships are geared toward training and developing the apprentices whilst supporting managers
Where the apprentice is based within a team, this will allow for colleagues and managers to gain supervisory experience and training skills – development for all involved.
Apprentices are employed on a 1 year fixed term contract with a 6 month probationary period and subsequent performance reviews. Many apprentices progress to more senior roles and then supervise future apprentices after they have successfully completed their level 2 qualification.
The service is cost effective as most employers pay less than £10,000 during the first year.
