Mental health

The mental health services in Hounslow are run in partnership with the West London Mental Health Trust.

We have a range of services for people aged between 18-65 with severe or long-term mental health problems. The services are designed to help you live independently and improve the quality of your life.

Depending on your level of need, we can arrange the following services -

  • Crises/duty service

  • Day services offering drop-in, activity groups and work projects

  • Accommodation with different levels of support

  • Help with getting a place in hospital during mental health crises

  • Help at home as an alternative to hospital

  • Help for people in hospital to return home

  • Support for homeless people with mental health problems

  • An Appropriate Adult service for people with mental health problems who are held at a Hounslow police station

We can also provide support to carers caring for people with a severe mental health problem. Your needs can also be assessed and reviewed on a regular basis.

How do I get help?

If you are worried about your mental health, you should first see your GP, who may refer you to us.

You can also contact us directly. We will need to get as much information from you, to help us understand what your needs are and whether we are the right service for you.

If we think we can help, we will assess you. The assessment may involve more than one professional according to your needs. Following an assessment, you can expect a clear decision about any support we can give you or suggestions about other more suitable sources of help.
