In partnership with local people we aim to provide high quality services that meet unique and individual needs. We are doing this by involving users and carers in the planning and delivery of services.
There is duty upon local authorities to consult users and carers on the services they receive. In Hounslow there is deep commitment to involving its user and carers in all parts of its service delivery, and redesign.
In some cases the involvement of our services users in our work in undertaken by ourselves, in other cases we commission services from the voluntary sector to support us in this work.
We have developed various groups and methods to ensure that the views of people that use our service have the chance not only to be heard, but lead to real sustainable change in our service delivery and design.
There is no single method to involving users and carers, because different groups have different needs and require different support.
Please see the links on the left of this page for information about different groups.
