Family Information Service

The Family Information Service offers free information, advice and guidance on all aspects of family life to parents, carers, young people and anyone working with families in Hounslow.

This includes information on:

  • registered childcare (childminders, nurseries, preschools and out of school care)

  • education (starting school and education support services)

  • children’s centres (services for under fives)

  • family support services (early help, financial assistance, general health services, domestic violence, drugs, alcohol, bereavement)

  • special educational needs, disability sSupport services for children and young people (education, health, leisure and travel)

  • activities for children and young people (clubs, libraries, toddler groups)

To find information on any of the above, visit Hounslow’s Family Service Directory, which provides a searchable online listing of services, activities and registered childcare in the borough, in an easy-to-use and accessible way.

We also maintain Young Hounslow, a directory especially for the young people of Hounslow, many of whom also played a key part in the design of this.
