The Children and Young People's Plan (CYPP) sets out the priorities and actions for the development of all local services relating to children and young people in Hounslow over the period 2011 - 2012.
Have your say
Hounslow Children’s Trust Board is writing their new Children and Young People’s Plan. Tell us about your experiences and how we can better shape the services you receive, by taking part in a short survey.
About the plan
This one year plan replaces the four year 2007 - 2011 CYPP and reflects new flexibilities to develop local improvement outcomes for children, young people and families. The plan applies to three groups, children and young people agred 0 - 19 years, young people over 20 leaving care and young people up to the age of 25 with learning difficulties.
Whilst we have responsibility for coordinating the CYPP, it has been developed with the full involvement of partners on the Children's Trust Board.
The plan covers all the services for which we are directly responsible and the work of partners who provide services for children and young people. The services include:
health
education
social care
youth services
youth offending services
early years
The priorities within the plan will inform the development of more local service plans that will provide the detail of how we will deliver the actions that it outlines. We will monitor the plan systematically to ensure that we achieve the intended progress.
The plan was developed through informed consultation with a wide range of stakeholders including children, young people, parents, carers, the local community and professional groups. It was also developed by reviewing information and data from a wide range of sources. Both consultation and data helped to develop our principles of working, priority setting and outcome measures that are set out in the CYPP.
