Hounslow provides a range of services to give carers a break. There are different options for you to choose from and it doesn’t always mean going away from home.

What's important is that you the carer and the cared for person, are happy with the arrangements.

Options available to you include:

• respite care

• day centres

• care in the home

• vouchers; and

• direct payments.

Sometimes, the choice may be limited or you may have to wait. It is important to find out what is available and how to get hold of it.
