A planned programme of regular carer led consultations through regular carers' forums have been established.

Carers forums give carers information about services and support and consult them on the development of local services

The Hounslow Carers Register

We have more than 400 carers registered. The register helps us to circulate information and provide feedback from forums. It also allows us to distribute information about other carer-focussed events and services promoting access and carer involvement.

The register is set up so that different groups can be targeted with information relevant to their needs. For example information relating to the area you live in, your ethnicity, your age and what particular services you use. We now have information we can draw on regarding the profile of carers in Hounslow.

• Training courses for carers
