Hounslow Council

Community access service

The Community Access Team supports people with learning disabilities to lead  happy and fulfilling lives so that they achieve their aims, make friends and enjoy new experiences..

We provide opportunities for people to get support from other services, help them to form friendships and develop their work skills.

We encourage and empower people with a learning disability to become active citizens in their community, whilst also raising awareness to help the local community welcome people with learning disabilities.

The services we provide:

One to one support

The one to one service establishes what is important to the individual and what  they would like to achieve in the future We prioritise  people who are vulnerable, isolated and not receiving other services.

Drop-in services

We have a Tuesday drop-in service open to people with a learning disability who are 25 and under.  This drop-in service focuses on the support they will need when they move away from children services into adult services.

We run a Wednesday drop-in service open to people with a learning disability who are over 25.  This drop-in focuses on social and leisure opportunities.

The Saturday drop in service

Runs monthly (first Saturday in every month) and offers outings within the local community only.
