We have developed a tool which incorporates the Green Standard known as the Green Toolkit.
The Green Toolkit enables officers to apply the Green Standard in all their plans, projects and policies.
The toolkit is essentially an online questionnaire that officers can use to assess the sustainability of any targets, policies and projects that they are developing. It works by measuring the green credentials of these initiatives against the sustainability principles identified within the Green Standard.
The toolkit does not aim to provide a definitive answer, rather it is designed to inform and encourage project officers to consider the social, economic and environmental impacts of their proposed policies and projects at an early stage.
