We are working to make the area between the High Street and the Blenheim Centre more pleasant. The aim is to make the area tidier, easier to maintain and to make it an attractive place for us all.
In November 2011 we asked the public for their views on the project. The consultation leaflet is available to download from this page.
The proposals received positive feedback and we are now implementing the project. The improvements will be finished by spring 2012.
These improvements are only temporary because plans are already being developed through the Hounslow town centre masterplan to turn this area into a shopping and leisure destination for the town centre.
However, as it will take several years for the masterplan to be delivered, it is important to invest money now to make the area better for all.
Supported by Mayor's Outer London Fund we are also working to improve the high street. We have already cleaned the high street pavements and will be getting rid of unnecessary furniture.
