There are many ways you can contribute to recycling within the community.
You can:
hold a recycling event such as Give and Take days, which is a community-based event where residents can donate usable unwanted items for other residents to take home.
ensure all schools in the borough can make use of green boxes or wheelie bins to recycle their paper and cans.
get involved in waste action groups - groups of residents interested in educating and raising awareness about local waste issues. These groups work voluntarily on projects with local schools and businesses to maximise the ‘reduce, re-use and recycle’ potential in their area.
