Household waste

General household rubbish collection is for the day to day rubbish generated from living within the house, such as kitchen waste, food packaging, nappies etc.  This does not include waste from home improvements.

We offer a weekly collection of rubbish in black sacks.  All rubbish should be properly stored in large, sealed bin/rubblish bags.  These can be purchased in any supermarket.  We do not supply any type of rubbish container to our residents.

You can buy your own rubbish bin to store waste in, but must place any sacks out at the front edge of the property on your collection day.

A wheelie bin service does not operate in Hounslow as they take up alot of space, and they encourage more waste rather than recycling and waste reduction.

Collection of household waste

Collection of household rubbish is on a weekly basis and there is no intention to change this. Please refer to your collection calendar for your specific collection dates.

All rubbish for collection should be left at the edge of your property before 7am on the morning of collection or as late as possible the night before.

If you are unable to place your rubbish out at the edge of your property, please contact us to register on the elderly and disabled listing.

Please note with the introduction of the new recycling services some rounds are being reorganised.  You may notice that you have a different crew than before or that waste is collected at a different time. Waste crews may also be out later than they have been previously.
