Recycling box

Your recycling box is collected every week on your normal collection day.

If you do not have a box you can request one from us.

If you live in a house or maisonette you can request a box using the link on the right.

If you live in a small block of 5 flats or less find out if you are eligible join the scheme by emailing us: recycling@hounslow.gov.uk or calling 020 8583 5555.

Note: We cannot accept paint or gas canisters

• Rinse your recycling and flatten items, where possible, before placing it in the box

• Flatten all cardboard - if is too large to fit in the box please place it underneath

• Remove any plastic lids or plastic packing before placing items in your box

• Textiles and shoes should be clean and dry and put in carrier bags

• You can continue to sort your waste, within your box, in separate carrier bags

• Paper will be collected using the blue paper bag - please do not put paper in your recycling box

• The recycling box and paper bag will be collected together

• You can put your paper in your recycling box if you currently do not have a paper bag, however you will need to order a new paper bag. Follow the link on the right to order a new container

Collection of your recycling box

Please place your box out by 7am on your day of collection. It should be placed at the front boundary of your property, in a place clearly visible from the road (not on the pavement). Please refer to your collection calendar for specific collection dates by following the link on the right.
